“WARNING FOR ALL YOUTHS”

“WARNING FOR ALL YOUTHS”

Few months ago I was travelling from Chennai to Rameswaram by train. A girl was seated before me and she was about 27yrs of age. Her face was grief stricken and was crying all the way. As the train was passing I could observe that she receives many phone calls and was continuously crying.

As the train was reaching Villupuram junction, I was reading a book and on seeing that the girl asked me “Brother! Are you a Christian?” I told her that I am a Christian and also explained about my ministerial call. Immediately she requested me to pray for her and for her future. I agreed to pray for her, but, asked her to explain about her discomfort, since she seemed to be very upset and in total distress ever since she boarded the train. She slowly started revealing her past life incidents which was the root cause of the present tribulations.
On hearing that, my heart broke. It was sad, but true…

She started like this: Brother, during my 4 years of college, I have experienced joyful moments and I used to mingle with boys & girls without any barriers. My parents had cautioned me about my flexible attitude, but not taking into account of their advices, I led a life of my own.

Do you know what happened?
After my 4 years of college I had joined in one of the leading software company in Chennai; at the same time my parents were looking for a suitable marriage partner…Almost a person was fixed and even the engagement date was confirmed. Just before my engagement, I received a phone call from one of the old friend of mine during my college days. That person all of a sudden proposed me and was very confident in marrying me and I was taken in surprise. I told him very clearly that I did not have any intention of that sort and had to turn down his request and demand.

You know what happened then?
The next day evening was my engagement but it was during the morning the person had sent my pictures during college days through email to the Groom. This created a big commotion which also led to the extent of stopping the engagement. My father had to pacify everyone and had convinced them and arranged my marriage with great difficulty. We had a happy life after marriage for nearly one year. After that I could sense some behavioral changes and attitude problems with my husband. He was addicted to alcohol and started to use abusive language to me and was constantly enquiring about the photographs which were taken during my college days.
His suspicion grew day by day. He did not trust me and I tried to explain him everything. As days passed by, his attitude did not change and he was becoming more and more cruel. He also stooped down to the level of harassing me and also threatened to kill me. Then I sensed that if I continue to stay with my husband I would probably get killed one day. So I decided and made up my mind that I have to leave him and went to my parents. To my great astonishment my parents did not accept me and instead blamed me about my life style which I had during my college days. They strictly rejected me and asked me not to come again and be a burden to them anymore.

I am an orphan now even though I have people. With great disappointment and heavy heart I am proceeding to my friends’ house in Rameswaram. This kind of situation should never come to anyone in this world…not even my enemy.
As she expressed her grief from her heart, tears rolled down her checks. In short, just because of her 4 years of carefree life style she has to suffer for the rest of her life, yes, this is a very important point to be pondered at this moment.

My beloved young people just think for a while as to how your attitude/lifestyle is?
Your few days of enjoyment, pleasures and sinful lifestyle could cost your entire life. Please do repent and come out of your sinful life, bad relationships and lusts. Do not forget that your youthful lifestyle decides your future life.
In the Bible “Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity”.(Eccl 12:8). Understand that whatever you see in this world is vanity. Repent from your sinful life and dedicate your life and heart to the living Lord JESUS, saying “Lord I am here for you – FOR YOU”. Our good God will listen to you and will bless you.
For it was Jesus who took the form of man and came into this world to take our sins upon him, and died for us on the cross, and rose up on the third day and says “I did all this for you, what did you do for me?”. Jesus Christ does not ask for your Gold or riches. All he asks is your heart. “My son, give me thine heart” (Proverbs 23:26) says the Bible. In these youthful days can we give our heart to this Jesus saying “Lord I give my heart for you – FOR YOU”.

If you wish to give your heart for our Lord Jesus please say this prayer:
Jesus I thank you for enabling me to understand that the worldly pleasures is all Vanity. Thank you for helping me to understand and realize your great love for me. I surrender my heart and life for you. Please come into my heart and accept me and bless my future. I ask everything in Jesus name. Amen.
